SUMMER 2022 INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Development team at St. Paul’s Newman Center has an opening for an undergraduate or graduate internship in Fargo, ND.

Since 1928, St. Paul’s Newman Center serves the students of NDSU as home away from home during their critical college years. Through the Sacraments and authentic friendships, the Newman Center facilitates an encounter with Jesus Christ and his Church. This encounter leads to changed hearts and change lives. These students are the future leaders our Church needs.

Internship Overview
The External Development Intern is a paid internship. This is an opportunity for a student to learn the art and science of development.                              

builds relationships with individuals who have the capacity to give anywhere from 50 - 250/month.  They will be expected to increase the monthly giving program anywhere from $700 – $1,000/month each month.    Along with managing the monthly giving program, they will work with the Development team to conduct parish talks to engage new supporters This position requires someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to grow in understanding of the fund development field. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work as an effective team member who is results orientated.

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains a portfolio of Potential Monthly Donors of 800 - 1,000 who can give 50 - 250/month. Makes a solicitation to all prospects within the summer.
Schedules and conducts face-to-face donor visits; 20 - 30/month.
Works with Director to conduct local and rural parish talks as needed to engage new prospects.
Meets with and reports to the Director of Development weekly.

Summer Goals:
Increase monthly support from 700 – 1,000/month each month.
Summer support goal of $3,000/month by 12 weeks of employment.

Salary:
Compensation will be at a base pay of $14/hour with an opportunity for bonuses based on performance.
