An introduction to the Catholic view of the person through an examination of the biblical, philosophical and theological foundations of such a view, inspired by the thought of St. John Paul II.
This course offers a historical and religious perspective on the origin, nature, and vocation of the human person and human life in the community. The course will examine systematically the fundamental elements of Catholic anthropology. In presenting the material various expressions of beauty in nature or art will be used to illustrate the ideas. In addition, the view of the human person will address briefly various social issues such as marriage & family, law & politics, and economic life.
