"Oh, that today you would hear his voice. Do not harden your hearts." - Psalm 95:8 These words of King David sum up discernment in the modern age. When we hear the word“Discernment” we often get scared. We get scared because we don’t know what God could potentially ask us to do. We get scared…
Last week, Father William Sherman passed away at the age of 94. Father Sherman was the pastor of St. Paul's Newman Center from 1965 to 1975. He touched countless lives in his time here, and his contribution to the study of sociology, specifically the heritage of Germans from Russia, was vast. Due to generous alumni and friends coming forward, we have the privilege of naming a lounge in the new Newman Center in his honor. You can see a tribute we made for Father Sherman here: Join us in praying for the repose of the soul of this great friend, educator, researcher, and above all, beloved priest of Jesus Christ. Rest in peace, Father Sherman.

As you plan out your Semester, will you put time aside for Jesus? There are 8760 hours in a year, 730 in one month, 168 in one week. If you added just one hour of adoration per week, you will still have 8708 hours a year, 726 hours a month, and 167 hours a week. “The devotion to the Eucharist is the most noble because it has God as its object; it is the most profitable for salvation because It gives us the Author of Grace; it is the sweetest because the Lord is Sweetness Itself,” - St. Pius X
